Vehicle Hire Terms
- Vehicle Collection and Return: Hired vehicles must be collected and returned to the designated location at the agreed times. Late returns may incur additional charges.
- Condition of Vehicle: All vehicles are provided in a clean and roadworthy condition. It is your responsibility to inspect the vehicle upon collection and report any pre-existing damage.
- Fuel Policy: Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition. Refuelling charges will apply if the tank is not full upon return.
- Insurance: Basic insurance is included with all vehicle hires. However, excess charges may apply in the event of damage or an accident. Optional excess reduction cover is available for purchase.
- Usage Restrictions: Vehicles may only be used on Norfolk Island and must not be driven off-road, overloaded, or used for illegal purposes. Smoking and pets are not permitted in the vehicles.
Cancellations and Amendments
- Vehicle Hire: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the hire start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a charge equivalent to one day’s hire.
- Amendments: Changes to bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Limitation of Liability
Norfolk Island Hire Car is not liable for:
- Delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or technical failures.
- Personal injuries, loss, or damage to personal belongings during your rental period or stay.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of facilitating your rental or accommodation. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Norfolk Island. By using our services, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Norfolk Island courts in resolving any disputes.
